A friend showed up with a leather scented candle a few years ago and it was not bad, (I do not like most scented products). It reminded me of going to the saddle shop with my father when I was a kid. I am not sure where the idea came from to make soap. But I figured on making some for Christmas gifts, and discovered that I am not the only one that likes the leather scent.
I started researching different formulas for soap and went with the hemp - glycerine for a good all purpose soap.
The lotion just followed along with the soap cause in the winter time I dry out and get gator skin. The leather scented lotion makes your hands smell like you just pulled off a pair of new gloves. I use the unscented on my arms and elbows so as not to get too much leather. And it does not leave you too greasy feeling.
The deodorant was the next logical product as I have used unscented deodorant for years. Most store bought deodorants are way too strong for my taste. And the leather scent just seemed logical to add.
You can never go wrong with the unscented stuff. It is great for hunters who do not want to give away the location by there scent.
